Happy Groundhog Day!

Happy Groundhog Day!

February 2nd is Groundhog Day, so in celebration of furry rodents everywhere, here's our list of 5 things that Sellers can learn from the most popular groundhog in the world, Punxsutawney Phil:

1. Prepare for spring

Even if there are six more weeks of winter, Sellers need to start getting ready for spring now. Some upcoming holidays that you should keep in mind are Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter. With spring also comes wedding season, so gear up now with invites for weddings, bridal showers and bachelorette parties. Get started today and your year may be even more blissful!

2. Be one-of-a-kind

When Zazzle launches new products, dare to be different. One of our favorite takes on a new product offering is Do Not Disturb Ornaments. Do you have a creative design idea for our new premium keychains? So far, here's what we've come up with: luggage and laptop bag tags; pet ID tags; awards/medals; baby bag tags; backpack and lunch box tags; zipper pulls; sports/dance bag tags; medical alert tags; pet carrier tags; horse halter tags; saddle tags; golf bag tags; and gift tags. What else can you think of? Show us your premium keychain designs in our on-site design contest!

3. Draw a following

If you make products that are unlike anyone else's, you'll be more likely have your own group of niche buyers. Figure out where your potential customers spend their time online (Facebook groups, forums, etc.) and share your work with them. Don't forget to use your rf codes!

4. Be on time

You only have one chance to get the timing right when it comes to seasonal themes, so start early on your designs and try to promote products for at least a month before any holiday or event.

5. Make a decision

Election season isn't here quite yet, but we've learned that if you take a decisive political stance in product design, you'll be more likely to gain sales. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more tips on how to be a successful seller of political products.

So, there you have it. We're hoping that winter ends early, but whatever happens, follow these tips, and you'll surely enjoy a stress-free spring!

Get Inspired!

Based on recent user trends, here are a few design ideas for the coming week:

Seller Challenge

We've given you lots of tips in the last several months, and now it's time to put them to the test! Show us what you learned about referrals last week by making links to products from one of our brands.

In Seller Survey #9, a whopping 95% of you told us that you only use our promotional tools to refer your own products, so now we're challenging you to branch out. Take advantage of your knowledge and you could earn more money!
